Gender, Forced Migration and Vulnerabilities

April 27-28, 2021

RAISD Observatory for Forced Displacement and the UCM - Complutense University of Madrid - proudly announce the Workshop for Young Researchers, taking place from April 27th to 28th, 2021, under the theme “Research for Change: Gender, Forced Migration and Vulnerabilities”.

Believing in young researchers’ competence, this event has the objective to enable them to show their work and improve their careers in a creative way with a possibility to win an award for the best rated work. The focus is on practical proposals that help to understand and transform this reality, considering gender inequalities and specificities. Registrations will be free of charge and presentations will be oral. Projects can be presented on video, poster, interactive board formats or multi platform in fifteen minute sessions. Abstracts will be published at RfC website.

Abstracts 300 to 500 words + 100 words bio + indication of presentation format.

They should be sent to comunicacionspain@raisd-h2020.eu.

The scientific committee will welcome practical approaches about forced migrations and gender on the following subtopics:

  • Forced migrations and labor
  • Refugee camps and citizenship
  • Democratic co-existence
  • Forced migration and pandemic
  • Media coverage of refugees
  • Regular or irregular status of refugees
  • Young migrants and integration
  • Good practices in attention and inclusion strategies

Awards

The workshop scientific committee will award the best project with:
€ 1,500 for the 1st.
€ 1,000 for the 2nd.
€ 500 for the 3rd.

Notification acceptance: 09.04.2021
Workshop: 27-28.04.2021
Final Results: 30.04.2021
