Practice Aim

To develop an easy-to-use tool for PTSD diagnosis: Used by staff members of service provider institutions for a first diagnosis of PTSD among refugees. A very short - 15 minutes - training enabled service providers to become familiar with the questionnaire, and consequently they could use this tool for monitoring PTSD symptoms among their clients.

In the context of a transnational project, a questionnaire was developed and tested. This questionnaire could be used by staff members of service provider institutions for a first diagnosis of PTSD among refugees. A very short – 15 minutes – training enabled service providers to become familiar with the questionnaire, and consequently they could use this tool for monitoring PTSD symptoms among their clients.
